Oshkosh/Congress Ave. Bridge to Close

OSHKOSH, Wis., September 27,2019 - The City of Oshkosh would like to remind businesses and residents that the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is planning multiple closures of the Oshkosh/Congress Avenue Bridge over the next year.

The first closure will start on October 21, 2019, and is expected to last up to two (2) weeks. The bridge will be closed daily from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., to both vehicular and navigational traffic. The bridge will be open outside of those hours.

The second closure is expected to start in January of 2020 and last into the summer of 2020. Work on the movable portions of the bridge is expected to be completed by the end of April of 2020, so as not to impact navigational traffic. The bridge is expected to stay closed to vehicular traffic into the summer of 2020.
